I talk a TON about green juicing on Good For You Gluten Free. In fact, I attribute juicing to helping me accelerate the healing of my gut after a devastating celiac disease diagnosis.

Read more about how I healed my body from the damages caused by celiac disease in this article.

Today, I want to share with you one of my absolute favorite green smoothie recipes.

This is not juice, rather, it’s a blended beverage with mostly vegetables and a few pieces of fruit for sweetness.

All you have to do is add celery, spinach, frozen pineapple, water, and a dash of both sea salt and cayenne pepper to your blender and hit the blend button, baby!

Once finished, you can sip this juice until your heart’s content. You will physically feel healthy and better after you do – I promise!

Sea salt green smoothie 2

I enjoy drinking this sea salt green smoothie most in the summer (although it can be enjoyed year-round). It’s refreshing, a bit sweet, a bit salty, and a bit spicy. It just tingles your tastebuds and cools you from the inside out.

I’ve actually received a lot of feedback on this recipe over the years. A lot of people told me that they love the simplicity of the ingredients. As you’ll soon find out, it contains:

  • A leafy green vegetable (spinach)
  • A juicy green vegetable (celery)
  • Fruit, for sweetness (pineapple)
  • Sea salt (for enchanting the flavor)
  • Cayenne pepper (for kick)

By the way, did you know that cayenne pepper has many health benefits? It aids in digestion and contains anti-cold and antifungal properties.
