It’s more important than ever to support our beloved gluten-free bakeries. We want them to stay in business and thrive despite economic ups and downs.

The gluten-free bakeries listed below all specialize in baking treats without gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and sometimes oats.

They fuel the celiac disease and gluten intolerant communities, giving those who cannot eat gluten a place to eat and feel “normal.”

The best way to keep our favorite gluten-free bakery (or bakeries) in business is to support them.

• Visit your local gluten-free bakery regularly. Share your finds on social media and with other gluten-free friends nearby.
• Always make an effort to visit a handful of gluten-free bakeries when traveling. It’s fun to do, and you’ll enjoy trying new treats. Be sure to share what you try on social media.
• Leave reviews of the gluten-free bakeries you visit online. You can leave reviews on the FindMeGlutenFree app, Yelp!, GlutenDude app, or Facebook.
• Ask your local gluten-free bakery how you can best support them. Ideas might include having you organize a tasting with your gluten-free friends. Or perhaps they might work with you to start a gluten-free support group near you that they, of course, cater to with gluten-free goodies.

About this List

This list includes all the gluten-free bakeries I could find in my thorough research online and from tips from readers. I add to this list as I learn about new gluten-free bakeries across the U.S.

A few notes about this list:

• The list is organized alphabetically by state, although some bakeries ship nationwide.
• I noticed many gluten-free bakeries went out of business during the pandemic. Before visiting any gluten-free bakery near you or during your travels, visit their websites and call ahead to ensure they’re still in business.
• Some bakeries are only open on certain days of the week and for limited hours. Others are home-based businesses and are available by call-ahead ordering and pickup or delivery.
• This list is by no means exhaustive. I depend on readers (like you) to help me keep it up-to-date. Please contact me or comment below sharing your gluten-free bakery list addition. I would love to add any and all gluten-free bakeries to this list.

Also, please note that almost all the gluten-free bakeries listed below are dedicated gluten-free bakeries, which means they don’t have gluten anywhere on the premises, so there’s no risk of gluten cross-contamination; however, I believe some bakeries are creating gluten-free baked goods in a safe environment, even if the shop is not a dedicated gluten-free bakery.

If the bakery is not a dedicated gluten-free bakery, I’ve noted it, to the best of my ability, next to the listing.
