I love meatballs… and that’s why it’s fun to have created this delicious and savory Asian Meatball Bowls recipe made with ground turkey, fresh ingredients, and Asian flavors and spices. This post contains affiliate links. Please see my disclosures

Today I’m sharing a recipe that is in heavy rotation in my house.

It’s for my Asian Meatball Bowls made with ground turkey and Asian seasonings, along with rice, fresh vegetables, and my tangy mango-radish salsa.

My kids and husband rave about this dish because it’s so simple and delicious, and I, myself, inhale it because it’s that good.

While the dish itself is simple, it does require you to make and assemble it in pieces.

How to Make Asian Meatball Bowls

To make this delicious dinner recipe, gather up all your ingredients and get cooking.

Ingredients for asian turkey meatballs

For the Meatballs

To prepare the turkey meatballs, combine the following ingredients in a large bowl and mix together (by hand, use gloves) until well combined.

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped (green and white parts)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp tamari or gluten-free soy sauce

Using wet hands, form mixture into medium-sized meatballs (about 16 meatballs) and place them on lightly-greased non-stick baking sheet.

Bake in a 400º F preheated oven for about 17 minutes, flipping the meatballs halfway. They are done when the centers are no longer pink and the balls are juicy.

For the Asian Sauce

While the meatballs are cooking, prepare your sauce. Simply combine the following ingredients in a small bowl, whisk together well, and set aside. You will drizzle this mixture onto your assembled bowls just before serving.

  • 1/2 cup gluten-free hoisin sauce
  • 4 tbsp tamari or gluten-free soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp sesame oil

For the Mango-Radish Salsa

I love making this mango-radish salsa. It adds crunch, color and so much fun flavor to the final Asian meatball bowl creation.

To make your mango-radish salad, simply combine all the following ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Set aside until you’re ready to assemble your bowls.

  • 1 mango, pitted and diced (skins removed)
  • 6 large radishes, cubed
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Kosher salt, to taste

Other Toppings

To complete your Asian meatball bowls, you’ll want to gather shredded carrots (you can purchase them shredded in a bag at the grocery store), shelled edamame, lightly salted, some chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Assemble Your Asian Meatball Bowls

Once the turkey meatballs are cooked through, you’re ready to assemble your bowls.

Start by adding cooked rice, gluten-free ramen noodles, or lettuce to the bottom of your bowl.

Then top with two turkey meatballs, a scoop of the mango-radish salsa, a scoop of edamame, and a scoop of shredded carrots.

Drizzle the Asian sauce atop it all, as desired, and top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Voila! Your delicious Asian Meatball Bowl recipe is complete. Isn’t it beautiful?!?
