This post features my Creamy Whipped Lemon Feta Dip, the perfect summer dip, and is sponsored by Crunchmaster Crackers. Please see my disclosures.

If you’re looking for a delightful tangy dip that embodies a perfect balance of flavors, look no further than this Creamy Whipped Lemon Feta Dip. It’s naturally gluten-free and, of course, delicious, too!

This creamy concoction features whipped feta cheese, cream cheese, and Greek yogurt blended together with fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, garlic, fresh dill, and salt. It’s garnished with more fresh and fragrant dill.

The lemon provides a zesty and refreshing addition to the rich and creamy feta cheese, creating a dip that has bold flavors that complement one another perfectly.

This dip is perfect for summer entertaining. It’s always a hit for Father’s Day and when served at 4th of July cookouts. Serve it with crunchy Crunchmaster crackers and veggies as a crowd-pleasing summer appetizer. It can also be used as a spread for sandwiches.

Ingredients

You’ll need the following ingredients to make this delicious, creamy, and lemony dip:

Feta: This dip calls for 4 ounces of feta cheese, which is a popular cheese in Mediterranean cuisine. Feta is typically made with sheep’s milk, although some brands also contain goat’s milk. The saltiness of feta varies, so it’s important to use salt sparingly and add only as much as needed.

Cream Cheese: This dip also requires 4 ounces of cream cheese, which adds taste and a creamy structure to the final dip. Cream cheese has a mild flavor that helps balance the tanginess of the feta and the acidity of the lemon.

Greek Yogurt: While some dips are made with 8 ounces of feta, I divide the feta in half and substitute Greek yogurt instead. Greek yogurt adds tanginess while reducing the overall calories of the dip. It also complements the sharpness of feta cheese. You’ll need ¼ cup of whole milk Greek yogurt.

Lemon Juice: Fresh lemon juice will add citrusy notes to the final dip and help balance its acidity.

Lemon Zest: Lemon zest adds a robust lemon flavor to the dip’s overall flavor profile. It also adds beauty. If you look closely at the final dip, you’ll see pretty flecks of lemon zest.

Olive Oil: Olive oil adds a distinct flavor to the dip and brings a smooth and silky texture to the final dip. It also adds good fats and antioxidants.

Fresh Dill: Dill is one of my favorite summer herbs and adds flavor and a pop of color to the Whipped Lemon Feta Dip.

Garlic: Garlic infuses the dip with bold flavors that complement the feta cheese’s tanginess and the lemon’s zestiness.

Salt: While the feta is naturally salty, a pinch (or two) of salt will bring out all the flavors and make this dip sing.

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a food processor and pulse until creamy.

Notes

Adjust the Salt: Different brands of feta have various salt levels. Be sure to add only a pinch of salt and taste before adding more. You can always add salt, but you can’t remove it.

Adjust Lemon: Some lemons are tangier than others, so you may want to add more or less to taste.

Crackers: When looking for the perfect cracker for dipping, I always choose Crunchmaster. These crackers are certified gluten-free and super crunchy. They are the ideal dip delivery system because they maintain their crunch and won’t get soggy or break when dipped.

You can find them on Amazon or at your local grocery store. See the Crunchmaster store locator to find them near you.
