4-Ingredient Peanut Butter and Chocolate S’mores Bark

This delicious peanut butter and chocolate s’mores bark recipe is as fun a recipe to make as it is to eat. It requires only a few simple ingredients, no baking, and just a few minutes to get it exactly right. This post contains affiliate links. Please see my disclosures.

Never miss a recipe when you join the Good For You Gluten Free community (free!). I’ll email you recipes (like this) and important information every Friday. Join HERE.

One of the simplest recipes you’ll find here at Good For You Gluten Free is this chocolate s’mores bark.

It requires no baking, four simple ingredients, and little fuss.

To make this delicious peanut butter and chocolate s’mores bark, watch the following video and follow the step-by-step instructions as outlined below.

Step #1: Gather Your Ingredients

To make this recipe, you’ll need:

  • 10 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (I recommend these vegan marshmallows)

Step #2: Melt Chocolate

Melt chocolate over a double boiler or in your microwave in 30 second intervals on medium heat, stirring between each interval.

Step #3: Soften Peanut Butter

Microwave peanut butter for 30 seconds on medium heat just to soften it. Do not scorch it or it will buckle like chocolate.

Step #4: Make Bark

Cover a small baking sheet (11″x7″) with parchment paper, then spread melted chocolate over the top. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just try to spread it as evenly as possible.

Add dollops of peanut butter over the top of the chocolate spread, then use a toothpick to smear the peanut butter and form fun designs.

Top the melted chocolate with crushed graham crackers and mini marshmallows. Use your hands to gently press everything into the chocolate mixture.

Step #5: Chill Bark

Place the bark-coated baking sheet in your fridge for one hour before breaking into pieces and eating.

Store leftover bark in a zip top bag in your fridge. Enjoy!

Fun Gift Idea

A really fun gift idea is to give this peanut butter and chocolate s’mores bark to friends and neighbors, especially for the holidays.

Instead of giving the bark, as is, and worrying about it melting, add all the ingredients to a 16-ounce wide mouth mason jar, and then add a tag with instructions on how to make it.

I found these tree bark pot covers in the Safeway floral department and they made the gift presentation all that much better. Get it? S’mores bark wrapped in tree bark. Love it!

Have fun making this delicious and easy treat in just a few minutes. Top the bark however you like, although I think my combination of peanut butter, graham crackers and mini marshmallows goes well together.

Notes

The bark will melt so be sure to store it in your fridge when not eating it.
You can use any chocolate you like. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips, but feel free to use dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or dairy-free chocolate chips.
This bark makes a wonderful holiday treat or is fun to enjoy year round too.

This bark was AMAZING! I’ve made many of bark over the years and this was by far the best. It was so easy and simple but tasted like you spent hours in the kitchen. It was a big hit with the whole family. No one could tell it was gluten and dairy free. I love that there are only 4 ingredients (that I usually have on hand). Already planning on making another batch. Thanks Jenny!!
