This creamy and dreamy appetizer is perfect for holiday entertaining and celebrations. Top the silky smooth Brie cheese round with sweet fruits and nuts, and serve it along with your favorite gluten-free crackers.
Preheat your oven to 375º F. Add the Brie cheese round to a small baking dish. If you don't have a small baking dish, place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Score the top of the Brie cheese round by carving several lines in the top of it. This will allow the Brie to breathe and expand during baking.
Top the Brie round with pomegranate arils, walnuts and a generous drizzle of honey.
Bake the cheese, uncovered, for about 20 minutes. Allow 5-10 minutes for it to cool before serving.
Notes
I highly recommend pairing the baked Brie cheese with Crunchmaster multi-seed crackers. Nutrition information does not include crackers or grapes. Adjust topping amounts to the size Brie cheese round purchased. Generously coat the top of the Brie round to ensure the toppings are enjoyed with every bite. When choosing a Brie cheese, the best will be those labeled "triple cream." This means it contains more than 75% butterfat. Double creams contain between 60-74% butterfat. I purchased the Kirkland imported French Brie, which is only double cream, but is offered at a great price at Costco. Another brand to look for is President brand, and you can choose from a double or triple cream. Both Kirkland and President brands are gluten free.Brie cheese is a soft cheese and does not last long. It's meant to be enjoyed as soon as it's opened. Store leftover Brie in a sealed container for 2-3 days. If the cheese tastes sour, it has turned and should be discarded. It is safe to eat the rind.
