1/2cupraspberry jam or preserves (you can use other flavors too)
1cupmelted chocolate chunks (I used dark chocolate melting wafers)
Sprinkles of choice
Cake pop sticks
Styrofoam brick
Instructions
Using gloves, break up the cooled Chocolate Cake and mix well with jam. This is fun for kids to do too!
Form "dough" into little balls and place on parchment paper on large platter.
Place in freezer for 1-2 hours to harden.
Melt chocolate according to Elana's instructions or use an electric fondue pot like I did.
Dip stick in chocolate, then use the stick to puncture each ball (this will help the ball stick to the cake pop stick).
Dip the ball in chocolate, generously coating the ball and allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
Immediately coat ball with sprinkles.
Set in styrofoam brick to harden.
Eat!!
You can store the hardened cake pops in a sealed bag in the fridge for several days (I just enjoyed a cake pop yesterday, it was three days old and tasted just as good!).
