People often ask me where I buy all the great organic, gluten-free products I’m always doting on. The truth is, I shop at a lot of places and it’s overwhelming, to say the least.
In fact, I’m all over the place in terms of where I shop for groceries on any given week; that said, one place I shop at often is Thrive Market. Think of Thrive Market as a combination of Whole Foods, Costco and Amazon. You pay an annual membership fee (like you do at Costco) to gain access to thousands of wholesome products (like you’d find at Whole Foods) and you do it all online (like you do on Amazon).
In this post, I offer you an honest Thrive Market review from a gluten-free shopping perspective.
Why Shop at Thrive Market?
Top Gluten-Free Brands: Thrive Market carries tons of top gluten-free brands that the gluten-free community knows and loves. Here are some of the brands (just to name a few): Simple Mills, Justin’s, Tinkyada, Enjoy Life, Organic Valley, Bob’s Red Mill, Annie’s Homegrown, Explore Asian, Garden of Eatin’, Nature’s Path, Tate’s Bake Shop, and Pamela’s.
Shop By Values: Thrive Market has curated products that I trust and match my values. Thrive Market supports boutique brands and carries tons of gluten-free, paleo, vegan, certified organic, and non-GMO products. You can easily search the Thrive Market database to sort products by your diet and values preferences.
Convenience: No Thrive Market review is complete without mentioning the amazing convenience shopping at Thrive Market offers. I often find myself shopping everywhere to get all the products I need. It’s exhausting. Thrive Market has most of the products I already use and love (and has introduced me to some new brands too). This means I run around less and buy what I need from the convenience of my home computer. Score!
Free Shipping: If you spend $49 or more, shipping is free at Thrive Market. When I go to the grocery store, I spend way more than that, so it’s easy to meet that free shipping minimum.
Helping Families in Need: I believe every family, whether rich or poor, should have access to quality food. With every paid membership to Thrive Market, the company donates a free membership to a low-income family who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford quality food. There is so much beauty in this model, as many low income families eat highly processed, artificially flavored grocery store foods and they get sick; however, with a Thrive Market membership, they can eat good for foods like me and you!
What’s It Cost?
A Thrive Market membership costs less than $5 a month ($59.95 annually), and will give you access to more than 4,000 quality food, supplements, personal care and beauty products at a fraction of the cost of Whole Foods (typically 25-50% below retail prices).
Not quite convinced Thrive Market is worth the annual membership fee?
