Oh yeah, I’m giddy.
From October 19-26, stop by Sprouts to stock up on all your vitamins, supplements and body care items. You’ll get 25% off ALL qualified purchases. Yes, you heard me right, 25% off! On top of that, you’ll get an additional 10% off when you spend more than $100 dollars on body care and supplements after the discount.
To celebrate Vitamin Extravaganza at Sprouts, I’d like to share with you the three items I plan to stock up on:
The first essential item I’m stocking up on is my PROBIOTICS. Probiotics are expensive but they help keep my tummy feeling its best so it’s an essential buy every month. I like to buy whatever probiotic brand is on sale so I introduce new beneficial bacteria in my gut. Now that everything is on sale at the Vitamin Extravaganza, I plan to buy a few brands to keep me stocked for a few months.
Probiotics are essential to a happy, healthy gut. Anyone with any sort of digestive distress can be helped with a good, quality probiotic. If you suffer from any sort of chronic inflammation, probiotics can help you too as I believe all disease begins in the gut. In fact, I believe in probiotics so much that it’s detailed as the first challenge in my Heal Your Gut Challenge.
The reason you want to repopulate your gut with beneficial bacteria on a daily basis is that our diets are filled with foods that feed bad bacteria, like sugar and white flours. While you might avoid sugar, it is lurking everywhere, even in your ketchup. The bad bacteria in your belly loves sugar and uses it to help it grow. When the bad bacteria take over, you feel bloated, gassy and literally sick to your stomach. I think it’s a wise investment to continuously add good bacteria into your microbiome (gut) to ensure there are more good bacteria than bad at any given moment.
The next essential stock-up supplement is FISH OIL. I believe everyone can benefit from fish oil, which is proven to reduce inflammation and chronic pain. Fish oil has been essential in healing myself after a celiac diagnosis. Fish oil is made of an essential fat, omega-3, that our body can’t produce. We can only get omega-3s, or good fats, from foods like fatty fish, omega-3-rich eggs, grass-fed animals and sea plants. To ensure we get enough, especially because we likely don’t eat enough fish and seaweed everyday, we can simply take a fish oil supplement.
I like Country Life as it’s certified gluten-free by GFCO (GFCO = Gluten-Free Certification Organization), which gives me confidence that the product is completely safe for me to consume. There are no preservatives, GMOs or artificial this or that. When buying a fish oil supplement, you want to look for cold water, small fish like anchovy, mackerel, sardines, herring and salmon as they’ll contain less mercury. When it comes to fish oil, quality matters. Sprouts sources many top quality brands, so you can feel confident shopping for your fish oil at Sprouts.
Finally, my last essential stock-up items is my BEAUTY BALM by Andalou Naturals. Andalou uses fruit stem cell science in all its beauty products. Andalou products are tested by the Food Allergy Research & Resource Program (FARRP) on behalf of Celiac Sprue Association (CSA) so they are “verified gluten-free.” As someone with celiac, I realize that I need to be careful not only what I put in my body (food) but also what I put on my skin, as we know our skin, the largest organ in our body, absorbs everything it comes in contact with.
The beauty balm is lightweight and slightly tinted, giving me a sheer coverage. I hate wearing a lot of makeup, so Andalou’s beauty balm does the trick. It also has a nice, fruity smell to it, as Anadolu uses superfruit antioxidants and nourishing moisturizers.
As you can see, there is so much to stock up on at the Vitamin Extravaganza at Sprouts. You can get all your favorite vitamins, supplements and beauty care products… and perhaps you’d be open to trying something new too?!?
