**Updated January 2016 to reflect new information**

I’ve eaten at Rice Bistro & Sushi on numerous occasions and every time I go there, I just have to pinch myself that I discovered a Chinese restaurant that I truly love and that is so close to home! I can order almost everything on the menu with some exceptions and the Rice Bistro staff will make it gluten-free for me. My entire family orders every dish gluten-free so we can share and eat family-style.

If you’re a GFer in Denver, go to this restaurant. You will soon become hooked like me! There is a location in Greenwood Village and one in Aspen Grove in Littleton. There will be so many things you can eat here that you’ll be ready to come back as soon as you’re done.  On the many occasions I’ve been there, the waitstaff has been sensitive and attentive to its gluten-free patrons. I’m convinced that they are trained to handle special requests and even relish this role.

What to Order:

You can order any dish that is not fried in shared oil. The breaded items are off limits if you are Celiac (the items are marked GF if you don’t mind the cross contamination).  Almost every time I go there I order the Black Pepper Chicken (sauted chicken in black pepper brown sauce), Chow Fun Chicken (wide rice noodles with chicken) and the steamed chicken and vegetable dishes served in a bamboo basket and savory gluten free red sauce.

At one time in my life I thought things like the Sesame Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken were gluten free – and they are if you’re okay if they use the same oil for the gluten stuff. It’s definitely cross contaminated so buyer beware.
