This Minty Mojito in a Mug recipe is a recipe I created when I launched by gluten-free alcohol guide.
Rum is one of my favorite distilled liquors because it’s always gluten-free.
Rum is derived from cane sugar, which, of course, is naturally gluten-free. However, when purchasing rum, be sure to watch out for added coloring, spices and flavors, which may not be gluten-free. Just get the plain, non-flavored rum and you’re good to go!
This Minty Mojito in a Mug is perfect for holiday and New Year’s Eve celebrations. The grape garnish is a nice touch too.
The recipe is inspired by this grape mojito recipe I found online – watch the video to learn how to make it yourself.
Cheers to a delicious drink for you!

- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice (about two limes)
- 12 grapes (plus more for garnish)
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 Tbsp. honey or agave
- 1 1/2 oz. rum
- 2 oz. sparkling mineral water or club soda
In a mason jar mug or tall glass, muddle together mint leaves and fresh lime for about 10 seconds.
Add grapes and continue to muddle for an additional 20 seconds.
Add crushed ice to the top of the mug.
Add honey or agave, rum and sparkling mineral water.
Stir well and garnish with grapes skewered on a stick.
