Last month, I was lucky enough to get to review Red Apple Lipstick eye makeup collection. I loved it so much that I exclusively wear only Red Apple makeup on my eyes and I must say, my eyes have really shined of late. I especially love the Red Apple Lipstick eyeliner (in black) and the Lash Project Mascara. You can read all about my adventures in eye makeup here.
While I love that eye makeup, I equally love Red Apple’s lip products. I think we can all agree that women want full, moisturized and totally kissable lips. I know I do, especially as I get older. Thank goodness Red Apple Lipstick makes my lips feel and look GREAT!
You might be surprised to know that I used to never wear lipstick. I didn’t bother with it and was an addicted lip balm girl through and through. But when I started experimenting a few years ago with some of the Red Apple Lipstick products, I became hooked on lip gloss (for everyday wear) and lipstick (for special occasions) because I liked the way it looks and feels.
Before I put anything on my lips, I check and recheck that it is gluten-free. So you’ll take peace in knowing that EVERY SINGLE product in the Red Apple Lipstick collection is gluten-free. On top of that, everything is allergen-free, paraben-free, petroleum-free, dairy-free, corn-free, GMO-free, harsh chemical-free, and so on! In other words, I have to NEVER worry that there’s something inside Red Apple Lipstick products that could adversely affect my health, and that is why I choose to wear this makeup brand.
Besides being free from gluten and other toxins and allergens, I also look for these three qualities (moisturizing, scent and look) when choosing what to put on my lips. Let’s discuss each quality one by one:
Gluten-Free Lip Gloss that Moisturizes
I live in Denver and while I think it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the climate is also one of the most dry around. My lips are constantly chapped and my mouth parched. I find myself putting on lip balm at least four times per hour, no lie.
What I didn’t realize is that lip gloss could be so moisturizing too. When I purchased my first gluten-free lip gloss from Red Apple Lipstick years ago – Cabernet Kiss – I loved that it made my lips feel so moisturized. I thought it would dry out my lips, but it didn’t. I assure you, this stuff feels like a moisturizing lip balm!
The key ingredient that moisturizes your lips is Vitamin E, and Red Apple’s lip products have plenty of Vitamin E inside!
Gluten-Free Lip Gloss that Smells Minty
A few years ago a friend of mine started selling lip gloss by a multi-level marketing company. I was sold on the idea of wearing lip gloss that stayed put for hours at a time (that was the key selling point). I used the lip gloss a few times before deciding it wasn’t for me. The smell got to me. I felt like I was spreading chemicals all over my lips.
When I discovered that Red Apple Lipstick had a collection of gluten-free lip glosses called Mint 2 Be – all spearmint-scented lip glosses – I knew I had found my forever lip gloss. The smell is intoxicating and I love applying and reapplying just for the chance to get a minty whiff of this stuff.
My friends at Red Apple Lipstick sent me a few new gluten-free lip gloss colors to try – TangoMint and Love Letter (I think Love Letter might be my new color of the year!) – both are totally minty and oh-so-pretty! It was definitely “mint to be” for me!
If mint isn’t your thing, you can opt for Red Apple Original Lip Gloss, and I just noticed for the first time that Red Apple also makes peppermint-scented lip glosses (sold out at the moment). I am definitely eyeing those for my next order.
Gluten-Free Lip Gloss that Looks Incredible
On top of moisturizing and smelling pleasent, the lip gloss you choose has to look good, right? It’s fun to play with different colors that go with different outfits.
For me, I really love Love Letter and TangoMint because they’re pretty neutral and are perfect for everyday wear. On the other hand, Cabernet Kiss is a little darker, so I wear it when I’m dressed up and headed out for a date night with my husband. I suggest stocking up on a few colors so you can wear what matches your mood (and outfit).
I also love the shimmer on my lips that this lip gloss has to offer – and Red Apple’s gluten-free lip gloss lineup offers plenty of shimmer and shine – making my lips pretty and totally kissable.
Maybe You’re a Gluten-Free Lipstick Girl?
While I’m a lip gloss girl, if you prefer lipstick, don’t fret because Red Apple Lipstick has you covered with a huge collection of lipsticks in so many exciting colors. The lipsticks are creamy, moisturizing and look really beautiful on the lips. I like to wear lipstick when I dress up – and sometimes I’ll coat the lipstick with a little lip gloss just to glam it up a bit more.
The exciting news is that Red Apple Lipstick is reviving a few of its limited-edition spring colors, which are back by popular demand. The colors include: Crush On Me, Petal Pusher, Sweet Pea and Kiss on the Chic. (Are these the best NAMES or what?!?) The colors will go on sale on April 13, 2018 at 10:00 am CDT – while supplies last (and supplies are limited).
I tried the Sweet Pea – it looks pink in the tube but goes on a bit orange. What do you think? It certainly makes my lips POP!
Oh, and be sure to sign up for the Red Apple Lipstick VIP Club to learn about special sales like this – and for amazing coupons too!
What Are You Waiting For?
If you’ve been smearing your lips with chemicals, products of unknown origins or products that contain potentially toxic substances, it’s definitely time to make the switch to Red Apple Lipstick. Stop with the cheap, drugstore lipstick and graduate into natural products made with love (and without junk) by Red Apple Lipstick.
Seriously, don’t take your lip care lightly (your lips dry, thin and lose color as you age) and don’t take the risk of getting glutened or swallowing harsh chemicals (the average woman eats seven pounds of lipstick in her lifetime!).
