A few weeks ago I wrote about the the Gluten-Free Expo coming to Denver on April 21-22, 2018. This is the largest gluten-free and allergy friendly event in the U.S.
Today, I showcased some Colorado-made gluten-free brands on KWGN’s Channel 2 in Denver, Colorado. Check it out!
All of these featured brands will be exhibiting at the Gluten-Free Expo this weekend:
This craft beer is made in a dedicated gluten-free brewery in Golden, CO from malted millet and buckwheat (both gluten-free grains). Try Fat Randy’s IPA or Favorite Blonde Ale (my personal favorite gluten-free beer!).
I can’t get enough of these delicious, healthy and totally gluten-free soups from Boulder Organic! Try the gluten-free chicken noodle soup or the corn chowder – my personal favs.
This Boulder brand makes tater tots (known as Millet Tots) from organic millet, an ancient gluten-free whole grain. I just learned that millet grows well in Colorado and has one of the lowest water requirements of any grain crop. Millet Tots taste great – try dipping them in ketchup!
QRUNCH makes plant-based veggie burgers (among other products) using quinoa and millet. Quinoa gives the products a nutty flavor (and the “Q” in its name) while the millet adds the crunch.
Thrive Tribe makes paleo-friendly snacks that are gluten-free, grain-free and dairy-free. So many snacks to choose from including bars, bites, coconut chips, and cookies.
Bravo to Bravo Bars for coming up with this tasty soft-baked energy cookie bar made exclusively from raw foods (nuts, seeds, dried fruit, protein). They are quite filling and slightly sweet too.
Created by parents of a child with severe nut allergies, these bars are totally nut and gluten-free and safe for anyone allergic to nuts. The main ingredients are oats and brown rice, and they are soft and chewy like traditional chewy granola bars.
Cocomels (by JJs Sweets)
For a real gluten-free and dairy-free treat, enjoy these coconut milk caramels that are aptly named, Cocomels. Try the Cocomels with caramel on the inside and chocolate on the outside. These caramels taste coconutty!
