I’m so excited about the Super Bowl this year… why? This year I get to root for the home team! That’s right, here in Denver we are giving all our cheers to the Denver Broncos – we are hoping they will win this one for Pat (and John, Gary and Peyton). There are so many reasons to root for the Broncos this year.
If you want to make a gluten free Super Bowl dish even your gluten-eating friends will enjoy, try one of these three great game day recipes:
Cauliflower Hot Wings: These delicious cauliflower florets are covered in garbanzo bean flour and baked to perfection. Coat them with hot sauce or any other favorite sauce variety.
Asian Turkey Burger Sliders: Add a gluten free bun or simply serve these turkey burger sliders lettuce wrapped or naked. They are not so in-your-face healthy – and your guests won’t know you used lean ground turkey over ground beef.
Baked Crispy Chicken Wings: Don’t buy deep fried chicken wings that pack on the saturated fat and calories. Also avoid prepackaged wings that are filled with ingredients you can’t pronounce and preservatives galore. Instead use fresh chicken and bake your own chicken wings, then coat it with hot sauce, BBQ sauce or whatever seasonings your heart desires!
